My name is Daisey!
It is my highest priority to serve my clients, however that looks in the moment. I consider my clients experience from beginning to end. Not just booking, shooting and delivering. I consider how you FEEL during your shoot or special event. I consider the small details that create the whole picture.
I care so much that you are comfortable!! I keep open dialogue during our time together and communicate clearly to achieve the shot we both want! I direct and encourage you while we shoot so that, even though you may not feel like a pro, you will look back and think "I could totally model!". It is my goal to create memories that feel like art. Art featuring you, your love, your family, that you are truly proud to show off on your walls or your social media feeds!
PHOTOGRAPHY CAREER BEGINNINGS
I stepped in to photography in 2019, without intentions of it ever becoming a career. I learned to edit for another photographer and found (or re-lit) a passion. I have always enjoyed aspects of photography, I found it interesting and fun many times throughout my life. I was gifted my first point and shoot at 8 years old after obsessing over a shoot that a family friend did of my brother, sister and I. I loved it! I just never considered it to be something I would pursue. When I had an opportunity to learn editing on a more sophisticated software than Instagram or Apple filters, I was so excited! I got the hang of it and it quickly became a hobby! I enjoyed seeing how much a photo could be enhanced during retouching. I started learning more and more on my own. Often listening to lessons on YouTube University. When I felt ready to start shooting, I asked everyone I could to model for me. Eventually, I came to realize that when I was shooting or editing, I was so in the moment that anything I was struggling with in my personal life was effortlessly put down for those moments. I was happiest co-creating with others and delivering them something they were so excited about. I became passionate about this choice to chase my new found dream and that passion grows everyday!
Aside from photography, I have always enjoyed, loved and had a passion for the arts. My first love was painting. With water colors, specifically. There is just something about watching the colors flow into each other that mesmerizes me.
I married the greatest man ever! We had a beautiful small destination wedding in Oregon (please hire me to shoot your PNW wedding). He is my biggest supporter and has always encouraged my photography (and every other adventure I've run after). Together we have two beautiful kiddos. They are our absolute pride and joy! We also have two chocolate lab ladies and a stray cat (who is not a stray cat any more lol).
On my down time I enjoy being in nature. I grew up traveling, mostly to Zion National Park for family vacations. I think my parents did an amazing job fostering my love for nature and adventure. I grew up appreciating the diversity in landscape Utah offers.
I am currently learning video and am excited to start offering those services soon!!
